UFO
An unidentified flying object (UFO) is an aerial object or phenomenon that cannot be identified at the time of observation. The term does not itself imply an extraterrestrial origin.
The Joseon dynasty Gwanghaegun Annals (1609) describe a UFO-like sighting in Yangyang: a 'round, glowing object' rose from the ground, shining white, blue, and red, then split in two and vanished. The K-drama 'My Love from the Star' was inspired by this record.

In 1976, ten bright lights appeared in formation over Seoul. The military fired anti-aircraft guns, but the lights drifted away unscathed. Stray rounds killed one civilian and injured 31. Officials blamed a US cargo plane, but many questions remain unanswered.
