About funfact.wiki

Sharing the things that make people say, "How did you know that?"

What is funfact.wiki?

funfact.wiki is a social wiki platform for sharing and discovering interesting and useful knowledge in bite-sized card format. By combining Wikipedia's collaborative knowledge creation with Reddit/Twitter's social engagement, we're building a space where anyone can easily share and learn.

How It Started

funfact.wiki grew out of pepper.note, a newsletter that shares fascinating everyday facts. We evolved this into a platform where more people can create and discover this kind of knowledge together.

Key Features

Cards

Bite-sized units of knowledge. Anyone can create and share interesting facts as cards, with references for credibility.

Tags

Like Wikipedia articles, tags are topic pages that group related cards together. A single card can be linked to multiple tags.

Voting & Discussions

Like Reddit, upvote and downvote to surface the best content. Use discussions to have constructive conversations about card content.

Collections

Save your favorite cards to personal collections for easy access later.

Multilingual Support

Like Wikipedia, cards and tags can be linked across languages. Currently supporting Korean and English, with more languages planned.

Content License

All user-generated content on funfact.wiki is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license — the same license used by Wikipedia, reflecting our philosophy of free knowledge sharing.

Get Involved

funfact.wiki is open to everyone. After signing up, you can start creating cards, voting, and participating in discussions right away. Share the interesting facts you know with the world!
