At the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, the video game Puyo Puyo was a full medal esport. In the final, 11-year-old Japanese player Yuki Kurihara beat South Korea's Kang Dong Shin 10-2 for gold, becoming the youngest athlete in Japan's Asian Games history.
