Premier League

The Premier League is the top professional division in the English men’s football league system. Founded in 1992, it operates promotion and relegation with the English Football League.
The Premier League blacks out every Saturday 2:45-5:15pm kickoff from UK television and streaming. Burnley chairman Bob Lord pushed the rule in the 1960s, arguing broadcasts of big matches would empty lower-league stadiums. It still stands as the 2026-27 season kicks off.
